In a series of over a hundred drawing I was trying to control the page and to create new and unique spaces. It ended with these twelve drawings. They are a combination of ink, pencil, and charcoal and are about 30 by 40 inches in size. Starting very realistically, I slowly developed from one drawing to the next until the objects in them became equally important to the air between and around them. My goal was to create air within impossible but familiar spaces. I want the viewer to put on their scuba gear and jump into my drawings, an adventure for your eyes.
